I miss seasons! Thanks for the reminder of all my favourite fall-isms. I agree, nothing better than shorts+sweater fits. It's my go-to on the foggy coast. My joys include-leaf peepin', goldenrod, the smell of dead earth, the satisfying crunch of a crispy leaf, and always fall hikes. I hope to get back to Canada next fall for a classic fall hike!
« What are you doing to get outside during the season? »
Walking — lots of it on the streets of a Colorado town and its parks — sometimes alone and mostly with my grandson, my granddaughter or with both.
« What’s currently brining you joy? »
My loved ones: my gorgeous wife, my 2 adorable daughters, my 2 cutest grandkids, and my handsome son-in-law. Autumn is indeed my most favorite season, even though I was born in late Spring at the cusp of summer! 🤪
Colorado fall scenes are truly incredible with shades of red (previously my most favorite color) and yellow (my current one). 😊
Joy 1 - seeing my breath in the cold morning air.
Joy 2 - fire in our wood stove first thing in the morning ... kindling, wood, starter paper, etc., placed ready to go the night before
Joy 3 - fall color in the trees - though here it comes late
Joy 4 - seeing the seasons other than summer and winter in the places we are exploring out West
Joy 5 - feeding my dogs bones and other delights
... to be continued
Ooh! Those are top notch joys! Love your joy #2. Sounds like an incredible way to start a chilly fall morning.
My most profound joy is [redacted] and I think we can all agree with that
The comment we didn't know we needed.
I have to say fall colors are my favorite, especially the reds!
The red is my favorite, too! Orange and yellow are beautiful, sure, but fiery red is in its own league!

Team shorts+sweater, unite! And yes, that leaf crunch is the BEST! So satisfying. Where are you based now?

It doesn't get more scenic than fall in Colorado. I have to agree with you there!
Between central coast of California and Southern Ontario in Canada is our bases and we live in Baja Mexico for the winter ...all over!
How fun!! Love the idea of getting out of the cold in the winter!
